middlebury college, ridgeline woods social houses, middlebury, vermont

Four new 30 bed student dormitories were located in a 12 acre dense woodland adjacent to main campus. These were built in an effort to entice the off-campus social house back onto the College campus. Our design integrated fully accessible facilities linked with access roads and pedestrian walks that blend undulating grades commonly found in the New England landscape. A stone bridge, period lighting, and a naturalized planting plan creates a project that within three years of completion looks well established and fits into the overall historic context of the Middlebury College campus.
