North Point Residence, Shelburne, Vermont

This contemporary house sits upon a dramatic Lake Champlain site with views north of downtown Burlington.  The house was sited to create a southwest facing courtyard, protected from north winds.  The courtyard houses a terrace, outdoor fireplace and an extra deep swimming pool for this active family of scuba divers.  The front walk is a tapestry of bluestone and south bay quartzite stone woven together in linear strips.  Emphasis was placed on siting the house to take advantage of mature hardwood trees and to provide privacy.
